Title of the project: “Develop a culture of giving in Albania”

Donor: The Balkan Trust for Democracy

Overall objective: To support stablishing a platform and a culture of giving from Albanian people with good financial stability to women in difficulties and marginalized who have a fragile and insecure financial situation in their families.

Summary: Gender Alliance for Development Center (GADC) with the support of The Balkan Trust for Democracy implemented the project: “Develop a culture of giving in Albania”. The aim of which is to to create a bridge between women and men who have a decent income so that they can help women and girls from poor families and marginalized groups.

In the framework of the project, the following activities are being implemented:

• Establish on online platform – Facebook and Instagram page for the project
• Develop the histories of 15 women’s in need from different strata of the poor population, that remained without a job due to COVID-19 situation.
• Contact and request for support women and men with good and stable economic situation.
• Connect through on line platforms like: Skype or Zoom a woman in need and a person who want to help.
• Create stories and promote the cases in the social media platforms with the permission of the parties.
• Develop 4 videos from the success stories of the project and promote.
