This publication of the Gender Alliance for Development Center focuses on gender relationships, which constitute some of the most important democratic developments of the world today.
The book is full of valuable and practical information for all citizens that are interested in equality and gender justice. But it especially helps students by being at the same time even a practical guide for teachers to increase the efficiency in the process of education of young ones, including gender education which is now part of educational process in all civilized societies.
The publication was prepared by a qualified group of well known authors in the respective fields. It is divided into 8 chapters which address current gender related issues such as human rights, domestic violence, media, reproductive health, citizenship, environment, career development and European integration.
Submission of important ideas, modern legislation, new information or statistical significant, follows almost the same structure in each chapter. After a short introduction, there are set out the main concepts with which you can operate in the respective field of study by the gender point of view as well as international and national documents related to it. The treatment continues with data and facts from the country and the world which help in understanding the issues in treatment and analyze some of the dilemmas and gender stereotypes that continue to exist in our daily lives. After that there are going to be presented some studies that encourage analytical and practical skills to students and in the end there’s going to be a final summary recalling everything that was learned from this chapter.
Authors have used multiple sources of information for elaboration of the material of each chapter, resources that have become well known for users of this publication, with the aim of further deepening knowledge.
GADC is convinced that the readers of this book who tomorrow will be our institutions’ representatives, future teachers, policy makers and implementers of national development, will be actively contributing for a society of equal opportunities for all citizens.

This publication was prepared in the wake of implementation of the project "Increasing the capacity of service providers in providing assistance to trafficked victims; awareness as countervailing the stigma of victims". Its goal is to be used by trainers as a means of information on issues that directly or indirectly are related to the phenomenon of trafficking.
Moreover, this manual enables users to concretely identify the aspect of the trafficking phenomenon by reflecting numerous practical examples.
Another novelty of this manual is the inclusion of the standards for social care services for persons trafficked or at risk of trafficking in residential centers, designed by the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities.

In particular, it pauses on the way in which gender and HIV/AIDS influence the level of poverty of a country and gender inequality. The publication focuses on main approaches to health, casting light especially on traditional approaches and the fact that they have ignored the social, cultural, economic and human rights dimensions. The special thing about this publication is the very fact that it provides an empowering perspective for HIV positive individuals and programs that should be built in order to address their needs and interests.

Funded by the Public Affairs Office of the U.S. Embassy (October 2004) Media and Gender Equality introduces the way in which women are portrayed in the media, as well as the way in which this depiction may become the target of critiques and ethical and feminist analyses. In particular, it focuses on the way in which women are depicted in the media, gender roles and stereotypes, the role of the reporter in conveying stereotypes and the way in which they are assimilated by individuals, the importance of drafting a Code of Ethics that is sensitive to gender issues, etc. A series of recommendations on the way in which a gender perspective may be incorporated into the media are addressed to media leaders, reporters, and gender experts in media institutions.
