Gender - Oriented Documentation and Information Centre

Since 1996, nearby the Centre is established the Gender-oriented Documentation and Information Centre (GDIC)

The GDIC contains:

  • More than 2500 book titles in different areas, like: psychology, social work, sociology, philosophy, political sciences, gender, feminism, medicine, natural sciences, Albanian and foreign artistic literature;
  • Database on several Albanian women NPOs;
  • Database on gender statistics;
  • Database on media monitoring with more than 25000 articles;
  • Database on trainings and trainees;
  • Collection of studies mainly on Gender Issues 371 in Albanian language and 276 in English language;
  • Collection of different Albanian and foreign magazines;
  • Collection of videotapes.

 

During these years have benefit more than 6000 individuals and organizations as following:

  • NPO’s
  • Organizations, national and international institutions.
  • State institutions.
  • Analysts, research interested to the gender issues.
  • Representatives of media
  • Students, lecturers and teachers
  • Other individuals
